Introduction
معاونت پژوهشی انستیتو در سال ۱۳۵۴ فعالیت خود را آغاز نمود و از سال ۱۳۹۴ با افزایش دامنه عملکرد با عنوان معاونت تحقیقات و فناوری . Responsible for all research and technology affairs of the faculty and institute. زیر مجموعههای این معاونت عبارتند از مدیریت امور پژوهشی، مرکز رشد و نوٱوری و ۳ گروه پژوهشی تحقیقات تغذیه، تحقیقات صنایع غذایی و تحقیقات سیاست گذاری و برنامه ریزی غذا و تغذیه، می باشند. همچنین کتابخانه و مرکز اسناد، ترجمان دانش و آموزش همگانی، واحد پایلوت پلنت، واحد انتشارات و مجلات انستیتو و کمیته تحقیقات دانشجویی تحت نظر این معاونت هستند.

Introduction
مدیریت امور پژوهشی انستیتو پشتیبان و حمایت کننده محققین و اعضای هیات علمی و ارائه کننده خدمات فنی پژوهشی و فناوری در زمینه امور علمی و متدولوژی، آماری، اخلاق به منظور توسعه پژوهش با به کارگیری متد و روشهای اصولی تحقیق و ارتقای علمی تحقیقات مرتبط با غذا وتغذیه می باشد.

Prophecy:
- Continuous monitoring of the research performance of faculty members and adopting appropriate policies to improve this performance
- Study and review of the institute's research regulations and guidelines and propose the proposed amendments in order to improve the quantity and quality of research.
- Advising to design the proposed projects based on the set pattern, preparing progress and final reports and articles, determining the sample size, extracting and statistical analysis of research projects and dissertations.
- Predicting the necessary credit for the implementation of research projects and activities
- Design and implementation of appropriate mechanisms and methods of scientometrics and evaluation of activities and indicators of research performance of members
- Monitoring research activities and planning executive actions to facilitate research
- Coordinating and conducting matters related to convening meetings of the Research Council, the Ethics Committee and other councils and committees
- Correspondence related to the minutes of the Research Council, approval of projects, preparation of contracts, budgeting and follow-up of payments, receipt of expenditure documents and financial settlement of research projects
- Continuation and promotion of the results of the research activities of the institute in the community through mass media, preparation of books and pamphlets related to research projects and research performance of this institute and presenting it to the scientific and research centers of the country.
- Provide statistics and information on research activities to be submitted to the High Council
- Maintenance and updating of mechanized systems and databases used in the institute
- Carrying out the process of reviewing and judging research projects and following up the relevant financial and executive affairs
- Carrying out expert affairs related to the amount of budget required for conducting research activities and monitoring their spending
- Provide facilities for data analysis of research projects
