In line with expanding international activities, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the National \u201cRepublican Nutrition Center\u201d, Tajikistan<\/strong>, Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences (SBMU)<\/strong>, and National Nutrition and Food Technology Research Institute (NNFTRI)<\/strong>, Iran. The MoU was signed on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, in the presence of Dr. Kalantari (director of the NNFTRI), Dr. HaqNazarov Inomjom (director of the Republican Nutrition Center of Tajikistan), Dr. Faeghi (head of the Office for Development of International Relations at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences), and the heads of educational and research departments of the NNFTRI and the Faculty of Nutrition Sciences and Food Technology.<\/p>\n

Dr. Kalantari referred to the Institute’s 60-year history in education and research in the field of food and nutrition, announcing readiness for joint cooperation and transfer of experience to Tajikistan. During this one-day program, Dr. HaqNazarov, while visiting the laboratories, incubation and innovation center, and nutrition and diet therapy clinic of the Institute and the Faculty of Nutrition, expressed satisfaction with the existing capacities and the shared cultural and linguistic heritage between two countries, stressing the utilization of these capacities to empower researchers and specialists in the field of health and nutrition in Tajikistan. Both parties emphasized the expansion of joint activities. Certain clauses of the memorandum emphasize scientific exchange, capacity building for national research in the field of food and nutrition, consultation on the production of healthy and functional foods, exchange of faculty members and students, exchange of educational and research resources, scientific visits, participation in knowledge and experience transfer, and information exchange.<\/p>\n
