1. Targeting and moving research projects and activities towards practical technologies in order to design and produce food products needed by society and industry in line with the priorities and goals of the institute and faculty, implementing educational programs and providing technical consulting services to government and non-government institutions, especially food industries And guiding them in the direction of innovation and meeting the needs of the country according to the emphasis of the upstream documents, especially the vision document of 1404 of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the strategic document of the institute and faculty and in line with the organizational missions.
2 . Development of knowledge and technological boundaries in the field of food and nutrition and its transfer to all stakeholders in general and food industry in particular, as well as localization of science related to food and nutrition.
3. Improving the quality and variety of food production in the country by taking advantage of innovative research projects and activities.
4. Investigating new food formulations and choosing substitutes for raw materials in order to improve the quality and health of food and nutrition in the country
5. Improving the quality level of technical and engineering education in the field of food and nutrition and its adaptation to modern knowledge and scientific standards according to the scientific achievements of the world.
6. Scientific and technical cooperation with universities, research centers and industries inside and outside the country.
7. Establishing solid connections between the institute and the faculty with the industry and all governmental and non-governmental institutions and meeting the needs of each party.
8. Commercialization of activities and research projects and earning and providing financial resources in order to support the research of the institute and faculty as much as possible.
