The supreme council is the most important pillar and the highest decision-making authority of the institute, and the head of the institute acts as the secretary of this council.

Members of the Supreme Council

1- The Minister of Health, Treatment and Medical Education, who is the head of the council.
2- The president of the university who is the vice president of the council.
3- Research deputy of the Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education of the country
4- Deputy Health Minister of the Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education of the country
5- One of the deputy ministers of the Ministry of Industries chosen by the minister
6- One of the deputy ministers of the Ministry of Agriculture chosen by the minister
7- One of the deputies of the Ministry of Construction Jihad chosen by the minister
8- Research Vice-Chancellor of the Ministry of Culture and Higher Education
9- One of the deputy heads of the program and budget organization chosen by the head of the said organization
10- Two people with expertise and insight in the fields of nutrition and food industry sciences, who are appointed as members of the council for 2 years with the proposal of the president of the university and the approval of the minister of health, treatment and medical education, and their re-election is unimpeded.
11- The head of the institute, who holds the position of the secretary of the Supreme Council.
