وی با بیان اینکه استفاده بهینه از صنایع غذایی در کشور نداریم و فناوری های نوین، در تولید فرآورده های مواد غذایی کمتر مورد استفاده قرار می گیرد، تاکید کرد: حدود ۱۰ درصد اقتصاد کشور را صنایع غذایی تشکیل می دهد و بالغ بر ۱۵ درصد وجه اشتغال زایی در صنعت کشور در حوزه صنایع غذایی و همچنین بیش از ۱۲ تا ۱۵ درصد ارزش افزوده صنعت نیز در صنایع غذایی کشور قرار دارد.
